I was inspired by Vermeer. I read somewhere that he couldn't possibly have afforded the marble floors depicted in his paintings. But could he have painted wood to look like marble? Hmm. Just guessing.

Mine are inexpensive vinyl tile, and they're ready for an update because we live in that room most of the time.

By the way there are only 35 confirmed Vermeer paintings in existence, because he was a slow painter. I think you'd agree that those paintings -- though few in number are significant works!

Hmmm.

If it's anything like as cold there as it is here, I bet your
animals are crowded around that furnace.

Take care,

Love BarbaraBarbara Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01342757136485853833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7855482737695202500.post-36592414951961609422008-11-19T05:52:00.000-08:002008-11-19T05:52:00.000-08:00If all our animals fought over the heater there wo...If all our animals fought over the heater there would be no room...it is a one unit old style standing furnace from the 40's! There are two dogs and three cats and three humans all fighting for the same position at times. Hmmm a tap on the posterior?....that may well work!! The picture is charming! I also love the black and white kitchen floor...one of my favorite combos for the kitchen!Theresa Rankinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16535660965303061775noreply@blogger.com
