The beginning of June, and planning -- and drawing

I found an old journal, and in 2023 I was drawing every day, going 
through super difficult times with a mean boss at work, and painting.
So I was inspired to start the practice again, because I really enjoyed
looking at the drawings.  This is from 17 years ago and I love the detail. 
I frequently read instruction posts on how to draw.  But for me the main
thing is to start and keep going like Austin Kleon advised.

Today I'm gessoing canvasses, picking up reference photos, and
planning.  I even worked on tidying the worst parts of the mess in
my studio.

Plus some very nice men -- Keith and Tory came and installed a
new dishwasher because our old one died.  I loved the loud noise

of our old dishwasher.  This one just gurgles.  I know most 
people would prefer that. 

So back to work.
