As I started thinking about what to say to accompany this painting,
I realized that this is the second self portrait in a row I'm
showing you. I am enjoying being on holiday and not doing
anything very demanding. My point today is that the child we
were is always with us, and the girl I was in this painting
would have enjoyed a day of drives in the country, and
having a wonderful time. Tonight we had dinner with artist
friends, and it was so much fun.
Yes the girl in the painting is me. I like the piece,
because it captures the best of my childhood -- being at
the lake and reading.
