For the love of water

Steven and I have been enjoying some amazing water views. And
it always makes me happy to be near water. This painting was part
of a series of portraits of people in front of their favourite ocean
spaces in the world. 

We visited artist friends today who have an amazing studio with
beautiful work.

This young woman modelled for me for a number of paintings,
and I loved working with her. A former boss of mine at Seneca
College bought the painting and proudly hung it in his office.
Sadly he died a few years ago, and I have no idea where the
painting went.  I hope that whoever has it loves it as much as 
I do.  My boss at that time was very supportive of my work, 
and encouraged me to take my writing students to the Art
Gallery of Ontario to pick an artist to write about.  The students
were always surprised to find out how much they loved
the experience and the assignment.
