Featured on City TV

Drawing My friend via Skype
Hi friends,

It's been an exciting and busy spring I'd have to say.

A couple of weeks ago I was interviewed by Jee Yun Lee,
a reporter with Toronto news station, City TV, in connection
with Skype art. It's a great interview, and you can watch it.

Our family is wildly excited and we all toasted one another
with a little bit of champagne to mark the occasion. Both
Jee Yun Lee, and the camera man Brad were lovely people,
and I'm so happy with the piece.

Check it out here.

The photo tonight was taken while I was drawing
a good friend of mine over Skype.

Have a drawing-your-good-friends day.

Congratulations, Barbara!!!!! I LOVED the interview at City TV. Excellent job and your work is stunning. I thought Jee Yun Lee did a really good job with this.

Your photo on the blog and your friend look like happy artists!

Hope you continue to get all the commissions that you want. I know you'll do great work with each one.

I look forward to seeing them and more of your lovely face.

Hi Melinda,

You are sweet. My friend and I are happy artists. The only thing wrong with that is that if you laugh too much, you can't draw! Ah well. Tough choices. I'm glad you enjoyed the interview.

Hi Barbara, Many congratulations! How wonderful! A really great report and fantastic showcasing of your art! You seem to have an amazingly loving spirit - it is palpable in your art and your blog and the way you support other artists. And that, along with your JOY and passion for art really come through in these different video pieces I've seen now of you explaining your work. Fantabulous!!! and thank you for all your generosity. You are inspiring! Best - always, Aliaena

WOW! Seeing that clip was more than fun - you are so poised and cute in it!!! Congratulations on the much deserved publicity!

It was also wonderful to see your large portraits in the background around your house - seeing them in context gives me a much better sense of scale. It was like I was in your kitchen with you!

Many congrats again and again!

Talk about houses. Now yours really, really looks great. Yes Jee Yun Lee was a super reporter and the camera man was an artist too. The whole experience was fun.

Hi Laurel,

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kindness and support.
I love your work and think about it all the time. I step outside and think about how you'd see what I see, because I'm not a landscape painter. Today the world outside is so rich and green, and it was especially so this morning in the overcast light. Just amazing. You would love it.

Hi Liz,

Thanks very much. It wasn't that hard to be poised with the kind people doing the shoot. They were such experts and so impressive that I really found the whole experience a delight.

Take care,

Barbara
