A great painting day

I am a firm believer in lists, but some days I
forget to make them. Not a good plan. Today
I decided I must have a list. But it was a busy
day. So dashing to the Art Gallery of Ontario
I decided I'd make my list over a cup of tea in the
beautiful Member's lounge.

Thank goodness I did because I worked on
several paintings when I got home, and even
got some time to work on my painting of Henriette.
That made me ridiculously happy. So did staring at
an amazing portrait by Fred Varley at the A.G.O.
He's one of the true Canadian painting greats. I hope
you had a productive day too.

Have a super-creative-joyous-loving-laughing day.

I love this piece. The strong contrasts are great.

I agree! You have already, at this stage, captured her concentration while painting - super!
I envy you for having been able to paint on seven paintings - I haven't had time for any painting today...

Hi Pam,

Thanks so much. I'm glad you like it, I do too. I had hoped to do really large Skype paintings some day. I guess this is the beginning. But I mean 6 feet x 6 feet. Wouldn't that be fun!

Take care,

Barbara

Hi Liza,

You made me laugh. No not seven, several. A few. Three or four. But that was just touches on two of them. No big deal. You will paint as soon as you get to wherever you're going.

Hi Linny,

Thank you very much. I wish you could see the reference photo with the highchair in the background. This is a mother, like many of us did, painting all night after the babies get to sleep. In the middle of our conversation she had to settle the baby, and then it was back to work.

She is a fantastically dedicated painter. Like you.
