A good friend of ours, Davide Tonizzo was taking
part in the prototype section of the Interior Design Show
at the Metro Toronto Convention Center this weekend.
His new multi-function and multi-personality piece "Gig"
was featured and he gave us a demonstration.  That
was pretty exciting.  The show was fabulous and made us
want so many things, starting with Gig (perhaps in turquoise)
my favorite colour (or one of them).  The latest and best
in interior design was on show, and we toured the large space
oohing and ahing.

Davide Tonizzo sits on Gig displayed in its bed option.
Check out the cool video Davide shot about Gig here.

The entrance display at the Interior Design Show in Toronto
today at the Metro Convention Center.

I am putting the final touches on my paintings tonight.  Then
tomorrow they are off to go into the show of the International Guild
for Figurative Art.  So exciting.  Not much time right now.

Have a-making-the-best-use-of-your-time day.

Barbara, I love this- the darling, young man looks both sleepy and mesmerized at the same time while the gorgeous, young woman beside him looks totally wide awake and I love her left hand holding the drink!

As for Davide's four track 'Gig' - sure, I'll take one, not sure what color, looks totally cool!

Thumbs up on all your paintings!!!!!!!

love, Marcia

Hi Becky Joy,

Take care,

Hi Marcia,

I'm glad you like it. Yes he is a darling young man isn't he. Glad you like it.

The Gig is cool. Isn't the video wonderful! I love your drawings. I hope you sorted out the cell.

Love Barbara

Barbara....that GIG is BRILLIANT!! I would love to have one or two. When I lived in Berlin in the 70's they had some furniture like that (but not as versatile as the GIG). Furniture for small spaces that had multi functions. I remember a friend who had a coffee table that could be cranked up to eating table height with an extension that folded out. A great idea....but not for a person like me who has too much stuff spread out on every available surface all the time! ;-)
I love this Skype series you're doing. So timely!

Love your painting! Your colors are always so bright and happy!

Barbara, this is my favourite of the series!
Coincidentally, just yesterday I discovered the link on your blog to this young man's design site and was thrilled! Don't know. why I gadn't noticed that before, but I guess there's just too much information on the net for me to take it all in. That is a problem I keep noticing - it simply overwhelms me sometimes.
Anyway, this "gig" is great - I wouldn't mind having one of those either! Thanks for sharing and good luck with the exhibition!

Hi Flora,

Isn't gig great! Yes Davide is incredibly talented. Now he's going to be featured in Toronto Life.

Love your rusty painting, and chair shadows.

Hi Linda,

Thanks so much, your kind words mean the world to me.

Hi Liza,

Thanks so much. I don't know if you're ever going back to France, but I am so loving the Spain paintings.

The ocean ones are making me yearn for summer so badly.
