Conversation with a confident line

I was at a party tonight and wanted to sit
in a corner and ask people to come and let
me draw them.  As soon as dinner began
I knew my idea wouldn't fly, so instead
 while people talked after dinner
 I grabbed a beautiful sketchbook from
France my friend Jennifer gave me, and began
sketching as fast as I could.  Everyone was
having such great and engaging conversations.

Sheila Vaughan suggested drawing with a
confident line.  I loved that advice
and throughout the party my niece kept saying,
"use a confident line."  I hope I did.  I did
have a wonderful time.
