Being in love

True love means springtime in any weather

I think I have always been in love with life.
I have always found the good parts of life
pure joy, and recognize that I am supremely
lucky to feel that way.

Today I enjoyed coffee with some of my friends
in the neighbourhood in the morning, and
we laughed hysterically about relationships --
how frustrating they are, and how delightful.
Steven and I are supremely blessed to  have loved
one another for a long, happy time.

Here is my Valentine's card painting for you.
The  front of the card reads Happy Valentine's Day,
and inside it says From Your Secret Admirer.

That of course is a joke because my name is on
the back of the card with the title, and anyone
receiving it knows that I am the admirer.  In
your case it isn't a secret.  I value your friendship
and your wonderful uplifting work.  So have
a Happy Valentine's Day.

Have a love-is-always-everywhere day.

Very nice! I'm so glad that you and Steven have each other, as well as two great kids.

Yes, relationships can be, er hem, challenging, but when they are right, there is bliss.

Glad you had a good day!

Hi Barbara, I have been admiring your black and white portraits very much but didn't have time just then to comment on them, so let me tell you now, that I think they are superb!
And - even if a little late - I also want to wish you a wonderful Valentine's Day ( let's just pretend...for loving people there are many Valentine Days in the year, aren't there?). I share your positive attitude towards life and feel just as blessed, so I fully understand you! Aren't we unbelievably lucky!

Beautiful card, Barbara, and beautiful sentiment to go with.
We all need (and need to be) secret admirers!

I am going to consider myself as having received a lovely card from a secret admirer! Just so you know, I am also one of your secret admirers. (Did I actually write that down?)

Hi Melinda,

It's true isn't it. I was just talking to my brother about this. His favorite word is Huh! And I think I'd like to get a Huh! button. It's a non-remark that sums up surprise at misunderstandings. I do feel blessed. Blessed in my family, and in my friends like you.

Hi Liza,

I couldn't agree more, we had our Valentine's dinner on Sunday with my sons, and my older boy's fiancée. It was lovely, and quite a bit past the day. I agree that every day is about loving life, and like you I do feel entirely blessed, and blessed to know you and your wonderful art.

Hi Laura,

You are sweet. I am definitely an admirer of you and your work, not at all a secret. I hope you had a super day.
