Blitz and bliss

It's very late and I must go to bed.  I am working
on a blitz/bliss plan at the moment.  I have so much
to do that I dream in lists, listing what has to get
done, or what is worrying me, and then brilliantly
coming up with solutions, all in my dreams.  I
wake up in the morning with the dream messages
still crystal clear in my mind (something
I've rarely experienced in my life.)

This morning it was this blitz/bliss message.  The
idea was to blitz (work hard on) one type of work,
switch to another, then pick a part of my life
that is pure bliss, and spend time on that, then start
all over again.

Brilliant I thought and have tried it out today.  My
bliss today was in five minute snatches of reading
my novel, and in having dinner with my husband and

So this painting in progress is part of the blitz.
I'm back to my ocean series and this is the first
of this set.  It is a work in progress, not very far along.

Expect changes in tomorrow's blitz.

Have a getting things done day.

Blitz and Bliss - love it!

Isn't it interesting to be in a period of remembering your dreams. Something needing attention, but not the sort of attention which the waking mind provides.

I have also been reading between bouts of painting! The thought has been in the back of my mind that I love reading but haven't done much of it lately... finding it's a great way to be in the studio. I have a strong belief that we see more when we are not actively looking.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Verna,

I guess reading is like standing back.
But even more delicious. I just finished reading a novel by Katherine Pancol, called The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles. It was superb and funny,
translated from the French. Apparently their are two more in that series, but I'm not sure if they've been translated. I also read and edit for work, so some is an escape, and some puts canvas in the studio.

XOXOXO Barbara Love your work.

I love the Blitz/Bliss too! Kind of a running theme in my life at the moment.

Hi Barbara,
Great things happening in this painting already. Your dream life and your waking life are cooperating with your creative life. And reading definitely nourishes the image making.

Love, Marcia

Hi Auralee,

It's a good theme. I don't always meet the balance. Usually I tend towards either blitz or bliss too heavily.

Thanks so much for all you do.

XOXOXO Barbara

Hi Marcia,

Thanks so much. I do love my dream life, and aside from being eager to get back to my book and my bed, I need to nourish the ideas the dreams float to me. Thanks for being with me in this world. It's a good dream with you out there doing your amazing work.
