Almost done

One of the best
(Michael Gibson)

Acrylic on canvas
24 x 24 inches
Barbara Muir © 2022

Tonight I'm showing you my portrait of Michael Gibson, a
graphic artist whose work I admire so much.  With his
permission I took a few shots from a video he showed on
Instagram, and have been slowly, slowly working on
his portrait ever since.

Michael is such a magnificent artist.  Check out his work, you
will love it. Tomorrow I hope to show you the finished work,
properly photographed.

Have a painting who you admire day.

Your painting is a fine tribute to a wonderful artist. Thank you Barbara for telling us about Michael Gibson...his drawing on Instagram is so powerful and beautiful. I watched the video that you used as reference and listened to his talk about Kwame Ture/Stokely Carmichael. Really good..as is the resulting portrait. Wow.
Coincidentally, today I've started a painting of tulips and little yellow flowers also on a 24 x 24 canvas...it's a perfect size, isn't it? Not too big and not too small!
I Love your work Barbara!
