The whole painting
The detail and full view of the painting above captures one of
my favourite paintings -- a commission to honour a friend's
fantastic garden.

In Toronto it has been a wonderful slow, cool spring. Remembering
Toronto's recent overwhelmingly hot summers we have loved it.
And May was a beautiful month with spring unfolding
so slowly, we could see things developing and felt so happy
and excited.

At the moment the city is filled with beautiful lilacs like the ones
in the painting, and white spirea bushes. Flowers are coming up
everywhere. It is all happening.
