My postcards and invitations for the Starlight Symphonies show
at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, in New York City,
The postcards and invitations to arrived today for
the group show I'm in at the Amsterdam Whitney
gallery in New York City which opens with a red carpet
gala on May 5th. Wahoo! The postcards and invites are
beautiful. How wonderful. In the meantime I am painting
like crazy. I have two easels set up and bounce
back and forth between the two with cups of
tea in hand.

Here's a small painting of tulips I did the other
day. I have a special place in my heart for tulips
because my husband is Dutch-Canadian, plus
as a child I lived in Ottawa, Ontario, which
has a spectacular tulip festival the moment the
spring weather warms up. It's cold today, and I'm
working plein air on one work. (I'll show you
tomorrow I hope). The wind is whipping the trees around,
and I'm mighty glad of a stable easel.
Have a superb day.
sounds like you are really busy painting Barbara, that's just great!! Love the tulips and the invites, you must be really excited about your New York gallery opening. Hope you have a lovely time.
Gorgeous tulips and exciting, business - paint like wild!!!!!
The invitations look amazing! This is all getting very exciting! Congrats!
I did a little painting of tulips at the studio a couple of weeks ago. I only wish it turned out like your did! Mine was so NOT worthy of posting! ;o)
The cards are beautiful and congrats on the show. I wish I could be there with you.
Barbara, I must proclaim you or crown you 'queen of tulips' - you always do them so beautifully - I love the invites too!
Thanks so much. I am super excited about New York. It's going to be so much fun.
I'll be thinking of you.
Thanks so much. I love tulips and I am painting like wild. Taking your advice.
I'd love to see your painting. I know it would be great.
Mine is a tiny little thing.
I wish you could be too. We would have such a hoot, and you'd look good in a formal.
I accept your crown, but I think that belongs to the Dutch queen, and I can't claim anything but queen of the appreciators of tulips. I do love them.
