Today we're exhausted -- we walked all day
yesterday -- from breakfast until the late afternoon,
and from after dinner until after midnight.  New York
is such an exciting city that there is something happening
everywhere.  Yesterday we walked through Central
Park and were dazzled on all sides by the beauty
of the graceful Elm trees, flowering bushes and beds
of tulips.

Today we've been to the gallery and then hung out
reading,  then grabbed dinner from the famous street
vendor near our hotel. .All in all it seemed exactly
the right way to spend the day after months of hurrying.
Now we're heading out to see the night life at Time's Square.

Forgive the quality of the images, the light is not
good in the hotel.  It has been a gorgeous day in New York.
Wish you were here.

I love the saying on the sign. It made me think of my boys.
Happy Mother's Day everyone.

Have a loving-your-mother day.

From these delightful drawings I derive an important insight 'Barbara - with moleskin will travel'! Yay
You look ravishing in the photo at your opening - your work looks pretty good too - so does Ruthie - all great stuff!
love, Marcia

Wonderful drawings, Barbara--your line is so sinuous and lyrical.
Spring in New York--how fabulous.
Have a knish for me!

I'm in awe of your line drawings. It's amazing to me that you have the energy and concentration amidst all of your walking and looking. Really wonderful.

Thanks for sharing a bit of your adventure with us!

Hi Marcia,

Have Moleskin will travel -- true -- or if traveling have Moleskin!

Thanks for the sweet compliment. Ravishing or ravished. I was actually verging on consumptive, but who knew. I'm much better now. The New York cure.

Love Barbara

Hi Laura,

Thanks so much. Yes spring in New York -- a sheer delight. I think I missed the knish, but ate everything else. Now it's home to start what? Jogging?

Hi Melinda,

The town has the energy, I just have to be here to plug in. I feel so lucky here. But then too there are these moments of waiting, and I have the sketchbook in my purse at the ready.

Looks like you're having a TIME to remember. Glad you're having fun. Those line drawings are awesome but then I've always been a huge fan of your drawing.

Hi Eldon,

I certainly loved being in New York. May in New York City has to be ideal. It was just so alive, so much fun.

Your friend in Toronto,

Barbara

Hi Liza,

Thank you. The nice thing about Moleskin notebooks is that they are so small and light that you can carry them in your purse, so you are always ready. I do love that.
