Love is everything

This series of three was inspired by the idea
of the different forms of loving activities that
take place around the table in our homes.
I've called it the Times Table series, because it's
about the multiple roles the table plays.

The theme is especially poignant to me now as
one of the potent themes of union around a table --
eating at my mother's table -- is coming to a close
because she's very ill.

If you're in town please come out to the opening
of Interplay at Studio Vogue 216
Avenue Road,  Toronto, Ontario,
Thursday night, October 10 between
6 and 8 p.m.  I would love to see you there,
and it would mean the world to me.

A shout out to Auralee and her family for all the
amazing help with this.

Have an enjoying-your-family day.

Barbara, these intimate family scenes are great - I've been admiring each and every one of them in your delightful, new series - they are astonishingly beautiful paintings.
It will be exciting to view them up close in your exhibit.

On another note, I'm extremely sorry to hear about your Mom! I'm hoping and praying that she can rally and that things can take a turn for the better. Fingers crossed!!!

Love,
Marcia

so sorry to hear your mother is so ill Barbara, hope she improves. My father's partner of 20 years passed away on Sunday, very peaceful close to a long happy life, but sad that now he is alone again.
This is a beautiful painting, i love the series name 'Times Tables'. Good luck with the show.
Your paintings have been admired by many here in the gallery. sorry no sales to report for you, but it has been lovely having them here, so cheery and bright. Hope to see you soon.

Oh dear Barbara, I am so sorry about your Mom. And everything happening at once : (
I do want to tell you it's a BEAUTIFUL painting you have created, and it is a very clever series. I am so proud of your work. Fantastico! I wish you all the success in the world for your opening, I know it's going to be vibrant and wonderful. I am so sorry I won't be able to make it (especially since you've been able to come to my way) but I am planning to get up to see it in the next 2 weeks as I will be going to Toronto. Hugs during this time of happiness and sadness.

Hi Kim,

Thank you so much. Of course I would love to see you, but we will get together! It is a time of happiness and sadness combined. You've got it in one. My mother has lived a good and wonderful life. She knows she is loved by her family, and we know she loves us.

Keep painting Kim,

I love your work.

XOXO Barbara
