A High Wind and summer thoughts

This little painting isn't finished.  It's been
a long, great and hard day too.  A very good
friend was in the hospital and I spent most
of the day there.  It was very gratifying to
read the comments on my post on Alyson
Stanfield's blog on my phone before it
died, and most enjoyable to be out of the
hospital and home again.  It feels a bit like
coming back to shore after being on
a long, rough but dull boat ride.  Hard
to explain.

The wind and plunging, bitter temperatures
made me think of summer and back porch
parties.  I am a ways from finishing this one
but wanted to give you the idea.

Have a loving being home day.
