Seeing in a public setting -- painting with my art group

Summer thoughts

As part of my plan to get my act together in the Month of
Fresh Starts I've been making sure I go to my art group's
session with the model. I'm doing more teaching
in the coming semester, and might not be able to make
it on Tuesday nights.  That thought makes me sad, because
I love working from the model with the group.  The talking
and joking makes me feel energetic about painting.

Tonight I noticed that I can stare and stare at a pose, and
after about 50 minutes I see what I need to see.  Of course
I paint every minute the model is posing, but through
painting I start to see more.  Just as it was all coming clear to
me, it was time to go home -- I could only stay for an hour
and 15 minutes.  I wish I'd had longer, because the model
was wonderful, and very engaging.

Have a seeing what you want to do day.
