Thinking about abundance and a work in progress

In recent years when Clementines with leaves appear in the
grocery store, I can't resist buying some to draw or paint.
The fruit reminds me so strongly of our first delightful
trip to Florence, when I took part in the Florence Biennale
in 2009.  It was the first time I ever saw Clementines with
their leaves in tact, and they are beautiful.

A couple of years later the same fruit started showing up
in our local grocery stores, and I so enjoyed, buying them,
bringing them home, and putting them in a pretty bowl
to paint them.  I have quite a few Clementine paintings, and
today I worked on a new one. It's a work in progress, and
I'm very happy with how it looks so far.

Have a loving your life day.

Beautiful ❣️❣️❣️ looking forward to the finished painting though it is looking amazing now. I love it when we get the fruit with leaves, but they are usually already drying out. I seeded a tangerine last year which is now about 6” high! If it grows I can pick a few leaves

Hi Evelyn,

Thank you so much. How amazing! Is it producing fruit. I so appreciate
the luxurious feeling of these fruits at this chilly time of
year. They remind us that summer will come, and they are visually
warm.

I'd love to see pictures of your tree.

XOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara

I think it probably won’t produce any fruit but I can hope! The fragrance of the leaves is lovely though❣️❣️❣️

Hi Evelyn,

The whole idea is exciting. My husband bought a small crate of clementines --
so wonderful, and we've been eating them. These are perfect -- so delicious.
Apparently eating clementines helps you calm down. Maybe that's why I am
ridiculously calm and happy. That and because I love your comments and your work.

XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
