In a month or so we'll go on the road trip to Nova Scotia that inspired this
painting, and a few others like it about being on the road.  Watching movies
set in Italy and France, I'm glad to see that these big cars are not the
dominant ones.  Small cars are a practical choice in towns where the
streets were built centuries ago. Although a friend from Paris just told me
I was wrong. There are SUVs in Paris.

In a way SUVs are practical, because they can hold the kids, the pets, and
luggage.  But they require a lot of energy to run, and in cities with narrow
streets they make negotiating traffic difficult.  Steven and I have cars.
But they are getting rarer to find.  In fact Ford is no longer selling cars
in Canada.

Still I like this painting of a very pretty SUV filling up on the road.

Have a loving your life day!
