Hi everyone,
I don't have a lot to say tonight. It's very late
and we have just come home from seeing
the Movie The Blind Side. That's two sports movies
in two weekends covering different but
similar themes. I thoroughly enjoyed the
movie, but I'm super tired now.
I did the line drawing I'm showing you tonight
a few weeks ago talking to my friend Tamara
on Skype. I thought perhaps after the density
of painting, a very simple line drawing would
make a nice change for you.
I hope you are having a beautiful weekend. The
weather has been spectacular here, and everyone
is in a true ready for spring mode.
Have a oh-boy-it's-Sunday day.

I have never needed a change from anything you do. It's all good. And as always, your line drawing is totally right there!
Hi Barbara--I haven't seen the movie but I proofread the book, and was surprised at how affecting it was; it totally broke through my cynicism.
I love this drawing--such a simple, supple line!
Hi Eldon,
Thank you so much. Maybe it was me who needed the change. I do like this drawing. I like the way line can sometimes sum up something so simply.
Take care,
Love your latest painting,
Barbara
Hi Laura,
Thanks so much. Are you a proofreader? I made my living as an editor for many years. It
drives me crazy when I see horrible typos in my blog, or the blog comments I write for other artists. But what the heck. Of course there are things about the movie that drive me nuts. The whole fact of racism is insane, and incomprehensible. And there is more than that. But it was a true story, and that made me very happy.
Take care,
Barbara
Your ability to make the economy of line express a thoughtful and connected moment always amazes me.
You can post anything you like, and I'll be ooo-ing and ah-ing, sometimes squealing with delight too!
Hope you have an easy flowing week ahead.
Really awesome drawing.
