The Blog saga continues

and drawing in china. Colour
may change again tomorrow as
I refine the face and hands.)

For the past few days since we flew in from New York
City I've been preoccupied with trying to get my blog
back up and running at the right address. People
on my blog list can get to the blog, but no one else
can, and that's somewhat frustrating.

Someone today suggested trying the Geek Squad, and that might
be a good idea. But meanwhile my kind team of
family and friends keeps trying to figure out how to
connect one blog to the right address.

My answer to all of it, when it becomes overwhelming
is to escape into the studio, and get to work on some
of the commissions and other work I need to finish
by the end of the month. It's a busy time, and the
techno whizzes I know will solve this while I paint.

Here's the next stage on one of the portraits I'm working
on right now. Most of the colours changed today, and will
again tomorrow.

Have a what-matters-is-the-art day.

SO GLAD I am on the list! That is such a bummmer! But glad you have "Team Barbara" at work - good luck! By the way, another great painting underway... love it! XOXO

Those blog bugs are so frustrating. I think all of us dealing with blogs feel your pain. Hope you find a fix soon!

Your painting is coming along beautifully. I really like the relaxed and engaging pose!

Hi Barbara,
You've probably tried this already, but if not, this could help:
Go to Settings - Permissions - Blog Readers
click the radial button "anybody"
That should allow anyone to see the blog.

Go to Settings - Publishing - Custom Domain
Since you already own 'barbaramuirpaints', click on 'switch to advanced settings' and follow the convoluted instructions :-)

I did this for and although I'm still hosted on a free wordpress site, I have a domain name. It took a couple of days for the new address to work, but people could still access the blog through the wordpress site.

Call me if you think I can help. xo

Thanks Laurel,

I'm glad you are too. Another day without success has got me absolutely frazzled, but trying to keep the whole business in perspective. Your kindness helps big time.

Hi Gwen,

You know it. They are great when all is well, and you miss that condition when something goes off the dependable course.

I love your paintings and you know it. Thanks for your sweet comment.

Hi Flora,

Thanks for your kind help. I am completely useless at all of it, but my helper has tried all of the suggestions you've given. I will call you on the weekend if we don't get it working, because it's been too long.
