Bring it on -- light and warmth

It wasn't exactly sunny today, but it was so warm that
when I went out with the dog (many, many times),
I could wear my gardening clogs into the yard, and
my inside fleece instead of a coat.  After the deep
freeze we've lived through, this alone was cause for
joy.  But add to that a clear and increasing trend
towards more light, and I understood why
flights of sparrows were teasing the dog and
chattering at her not to leap the fence chasing
squirrels, but to jump up trying to catch them as
they feasted at the feeder.  They'd land, eat,
wait until she started to jump, then fly up in
a huge swoop, and scold her from the apple
tree.

This weather can't last, but it was wonderful.
Here's a little painting capturing the mood of
happy thoughts.

Have a taking-light-and-warmth-where-you-can-get-them day.

Hi Karen,

It was amazing today. So bright and beautiful and warm. I went for a walk, and didn't need long johns, fleece socks, ten layers under my coat or a hat, or gloves!!! It was heaven. Thank you.
