Thanks to Harry Stooshinoff I think about my palette
paper as something to use again.  Tonight I took what
was a big yellow space, and some black and a wonderful
circle of blue and decided to make a light hearted
Canada Day painting.  Here it is.

Last weekend I was in Ottawa eating my delightful
breakfast in my hotel room, looking out at the parliament
buildings, and so many Canadian flags.  Do I love my
country?  I do.  I have seen a lot of it, and
it is absolutely beautiful.  It is my heart's home.

Are we doing things that drive me crazy, like putting
in pipelines when the world has to stop using oil
and gas?  Yes. But all around me I see evidence of
passionate concern about the environment in the
people I meet.  Everywhere in this country the people
are wonderful.  I seriously hope that together we can
solve our major problems -- global climate change
and social inequality.  So Happy Canada Day weekend.

Have a loving to play with paint day.
