Driving through the peach orchards in southern Ontario
is a feast for the eye in the spring.  The trees in bloom
are beyond magnificent.  And in the late summer when
the peaches begin to show up in the farmer's market,
fruit lovers have good reason to be excited.  It's hard
to imagine a more delicious end of summer treat.

My husband, Steven, is passionate about peaches
and starts asking market people when he can buy
peaches for canning early in August.  The season
is a bit late this year, because we had a long,
slow, colder than normal spring.  So this past
weekend he brought home two bushels of the
most gorgeous peaches.  And they are so delicious.

Today he canned dozens of jars of the precious
beauties, so that we can have delicious fresh
tasting peaches all winter.

Have a loving your peaches day.
