I'm thinking today about my artist friends who I see here in the
blog world, on Instagram, and on Facebook. I don't look at
Facebook as often as I check out Instagram, but every time
I look at work by friends, and new social media friends, I'm
inspired.
In Nova Scotia I was lucky to see some artist friends -- such
a treat. Norene Smiley is a wonderful artist in any medium she
works on. Right now one of her portraits -- a portrait of her
father (see above) -- is blown up billboard size, and featured on
the wall of the Pharmacy in Pugwash.
And I visited my friend Flora Doehler's studio in Bear River,
which is always an inspiration. It was so lovely to see
her work. I especially loved the collage I'm showing you here.
