Super opening at the Heliconian Woman show

My work in the Heliconian Woman show.
Each piece is 30 x 30 inches
From left to right,
Tea Alone
The Writer's Life,
and
The Invitation.
All were revised in 2023

About 20 Centimetres (close to 8 inches) of snow, fell overnight. I didn’t
even know if we’ll be able to get out of our street, let alone down to the
opening at the Heliconian Club on Hazelton Avenue in Yorkville in Toronto.

So the morning started with shovelling, which went on and on and on.
Steven valiantly cleared the sidewalks, which our neighbours had already
cleared for us. I helped clean off the car, and miraculously, if bumpily,
away, we drove.

Some wonderful friends also dug their cars out, and came out to the opening.
All of the artists who made it to the show today brought goodies, and there
was a lovely table of cookies and cakes and cheese and crackers, plus a
large pot of coffee which people drank from beautiful Blue Willow cups.

I loved the work of my friend Claire Bonenfant.

There were so many beautiful works by the artists. If I get back to the show,
I'll get more examples.

I met some great people, had good conversations, and some sweet family members
arrived! How fun!

Family visitors --
