Not ready for Christmas

Brothers
acrylic on canvas
Barbara Muir © 2009
(I finished my commission of the
two brothers today. I feel delighted with
how it worked out.)

The thought of Christmas and then a new year being
right around the corner is a bit overwhelming. The
end of term, the need to decorate, the presents to
buy and meals to prepare. I am not ready. But I
must admit I thoroughly enjoy the festivity. If I
don't get a card out to you, please know that whatever
festival of lights you celebrate I wish you a wonderful
holiday season.

I am thinking of you every day, and sending you
good cheerwe all need more of as winter descends.

Have a getting-ready-for-the-holidays day

Yay Barbara!!! A great portrait! It sings!
Now maybe you can get some much needed rest.

Oh sweet beauty

who hath infinite zest,

Close thine eyes

And get some rest.

Ciao bambina

I'm happy for you! The portrait is sweet - again very lively and expressive, as usual! I know what a good feeling it is to have finished a commission, especially when it has turned out well.
Now, you can fly away relieved....

Hi Marcia,

It looks much better than the photo, but I was happy with it. I got the sleep last night in Florence. Our apartment above the Palace is very quiet. I closed my eyes.

Hi Liza,

I thought of you when I flew over the alps. So you may hear from me.

The photo is really not right on this one, but I didn't have time to
take a proper picture.

Miss you,
