Luxurious Saturday and hoping for peace

To all the people all over the world experiencing war, our thoughts
are with you. The effects of the war in Ukraine are widespread. My
good friend’s son in Europe has been studying to be a ship’s captain
for two years. He was supposed to go on a half year trip to complete his
studies, but this war broke out, and the first stop was Russia. He wisely
made the choice not to go. But meanwhile his future, like millions of
other people's, hangs in the balance.

Steven and I have had a lovely day today, mostly not listening to the
news. It is alive inside us, but we help no one by being frightened all the time.
We hope that this war will end, and are deeply saddened that one insane person
can do so much damage. So I’m posting this painting of parrot tulips to focus
on beauty and hope.

Have a helping in any way you can day.

Hi Jennifer Rose,

I know. We went to the lake first thing today. For us that is the place
to be -- to see nature mostly unencumbered by people. The best.

Love your work.

Beautiful luxurious tulips❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️I love them.
I got outside for a walk and a bit of garden work today. So good to just listen to birds and waves and get some feeling of normal. There is a sense of fear in me, but I cannot imagine the very real terror of people in the midst of all this.

Thank you so much Evelyn,

You describe the feeling so well. This is another layer of fear added to two
years of constant fear. And no I can't imagine how people are having the bravery to
carry on, there, or in any area of conflict.

Sending hope for a peaceful solution soon.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
