Late Sunday afternoon

Backyard Cherrywood afternoon

Here's a little painting of my backyard in the
late afternoon that I thought was pretty
dark and moody until I took it out of my
studio and photographed it outside.

I hope you are having the best Valentine's
Day ever, whether you have a special someone,
or you're being extra loving with family and
friends. I'll be thinking of you and sending
you hearts and flowers and super good wishes.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Have an enjoying-the-love-the-world-offers day.

I don't see anything here dark and moody, Barbara! It's beautifully painted and the colors, of course, are yummy. It looks like a very friendly place. There is still a lot of warmth in all of that blue!

Hi Melinda,

Thanks so much Melinda. I actually set the publishing date wrong and had to change it. I hope you are having a super Valentine's Day.

Hi Marcia,

Thank you. You are too sweet. I actually got on a bit of a role, doing inside plein air. I guess you'd have to call them demi air, or something. So first I did the front view, then the view out the kitchen window. So! I'm glad you like it. I do too.

I love your paintings - all of them! They are so optimistic and cheery - I have a feeling they reflect the artist's attitude about life.

Hi Liz,

I am blessed with a loving husband and family, and I did have a Happy Valentine's Day, except that I am worried about my mother's health.

Thanks for your kind wishes. They mean a lot to me.
