A snow day!

I woke up this morning to the sound of my former
boss's wife telling me that the school was closed and
my part time classes canceled for the day.  Go back
to sleep she said.  I obliged.  As much as I don't like
coping with snow, I think there are few things more
pleasant than sleeping under a warm duvet in a cool
room while snow falls softly muffling the noises of
the city.  Plus so many people stayed off the roads today
that it was much quieter than it might have been.

I reveled in something I haven't had any of for months it
seems - time.  What a total pleasure.

Have an enjoying-the-unexpected-gift-of-time day.

Hi Nicki,

It was so nice, except that it was a teaching day, and I found out that I missed my students. Still... yes...ultimate luxury. Thanks so much.

Congratulations on the TV show!

Hi Flora,

Your snow day video looked so cozy. Love the chairs.

Hi Melinda,

Thanks so much. The main reason for the snow day was safety. The roads can become treacherous in white out conditions. So I was super grateful not to have to negotiate driving that day. I'm glad you like the drawings.

Staying warm is a challenge I've got to admit.
