The Tourist thing -- we are ready

It is almost the end of this online school term, and on a "normal" year
we would have our short two week vacation planned and be
over the moon excited.

This year we are more eager than ever to leave the very nice confines
of our house, and hit the road, but we not only don't know where to
go, we don't know where we're allowed to go. But it still may
happen.

What I love about vacations is that the urge to draw hits me full
force, and I want to record what I see.

Tonight I'm showing you a little sketch I did of people gathering
around the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa a couple of years
ago.  I decided to paint it in with acrylic paint the other day,
and I like the result. The man in the cargo shorts is for my friend
Alessandra an Italian woman who lives in Paris and thinks those
shorts are the height of Canadian bad taste.  That made me laugh when
I drew the man.  He was happily oblivious.
