The roses are coming back

(Steven is my husband.)

Our front porch is our favourite place to eat dinner as soon
as it's warm enough.  It was cool tonight, but we bundled
up, and all of a sudden, with a bit of rain, and the smoke
from the wildfires receding somewhat, our roses in the 
front garden have started to bloom.

The beautiful roses provide an idyllic privacy screen from
the street action as soon as the leaves emerge. And then!
The beauty of the flowers is overwhelming -- an ecstatic
treat.  Wow!

I'm going to let the roses have the glory tonight.
