A great first day at Artwalk

What a wonderful first day we had. My thanks go out to the
people who walked and came out by TTC ( bus, streetcar and
subway)to see my work. I really appreciated your presence,
and the great conversations we had. Paintings are selling, and the
whole atmosphere is jovial and festive despite the rain.

Here's a jolly watercolour I painted a few
years ago.

The house looks great and we served some wine, coffee,
cookies, and salmon and cream cheese on Steven's home
made bread. Yum. I am somewhat tired now just from
the set up, but as soon as I get a nap I'll be raring to go.

Have a loving-the-life-you-live day.

Congrats on a first great day...I am so happy to hear things are going well! You certainly have worked hard....and put a wonderful time together for everyone I am sure. The still life is alive with all of your work is!

Hi Theresa,

It was fun. Just going to get some
cookies, and getting ready to enjoy
another exciting bunch of visitors today. What it's really like is a party for my art. When you consider that we do so much of our painting in isolation -- that's a real treat. Thanks so much for your compliments.

Hey Barbara - so glad the artwalk is going well. Hope today was even better than yesterday! It's true, your work is joyful! (PS - the cat lady is looking great!)

Hi Laurel,

Thanks -- both days were just great --wonderful people dropped in today -- including a young man who wants to start a pont des arts on a local bridge which overlooks a park. He and his girlfriend got the idea on the Pont des Arts in Paris. I was delighted by their romantic idea, and I may participate on October 19.

Sounds great - the Artwalk at your house and the idea with the bridge!
I can well imagine what a pleasure it must have been for the visitors to wander around your house with all your colourful paintings, nibbling on a homemade treat - I envy them! Like the woman with the cat!

Hi Liza,

We had a great time. This is a super community. The people are just wonderful: involved, kind, intelligent, funny.

We've been here since before our second son was born, and can hardly
imagine not living here. So it was
delightful. Thanks so much
for your sweet comments.
