to Toronto)
Day 8 of the Month of Love, and I see the month
speeding towards Valentine's Day -- perfectly
located mid-way through this magnificent Love
fest. We have had more than our due of grey days,
but also the comfort -- aside from ice storms like
yesterday -- of squirrelling away inside with our book,
or paints, and in a way retreating from nature.  But soon here
in Canada all of its magnificence in flower and tree
and blue water will be returned to us.

Nature -- no matter what the weather -- is a supreme
and constant inspiration.  And I'd add to that my
artist friends' glorious paintings of nature which hold me
spellbound.  In the past couple of years clouds have
captivated me, almost putting me in danger when I'm
driving alone, and must capture the magnificent view
of clouds ahead on my cellphone.  (Yes I do pull over to take
the photo!)

The great thing about paintings of nature is that they
bring the outside in, to lift our spirits all year.

Have a celebrating-the-beauty-of-nature day.
