Glorious nasturtiums fill in for me

Nasturtiums by the sea

I am working on a portrait that I hope will be wonderful,
and it has taken me 3 days just to draw a very loose
drawing on the canvas.  Not because it was that hard,
but because I kept placing it incorrectly.  Or thinking
that it was perfect and then leaving the room, coming
back and realizing.  No.  Not right!

Do you do that?  Second, third and fourth guess yourself?
Placement matters in a portrait.  And I wanted this piece
to be big, powerful and dramatic.  We'll see.  You'll
see -- as soon as I have something more than a drawing
to show you.

In the meantime -- here are some lovely nasturtiums,
one of my favourite flowers, drawn on my iPad, to
put some colour on my blog.  I feel very happy because
I finally conquered that portrait image, and it is placed.
Well conquered is a strong word, I mean I am now ready
to paint the thing.

Have an enjoying the day -- day.
