Happy Valentine's Day -- Love Matters to Me

True love means springtime in any weather

Happy Valentine's Day.  I saw this painting at a joyous
coffee Valentine's party at a friend's up the street
this morning. That made me happy, and so did the
lovely group of women, their laughter, their support,
their kindness.

I know I'm very lucky to be a person who loves
life.  And I'm  supremely lucky to be married to a
sweet man, who left a card for me this morning
before work, and brought home dinner
at the end of a long, tiring work day.

We had dinner by candlelight as we do every
night.  And we gave one another a few presents
to celebrate the day, and the fact our love is the
center of our lives.

I was so happy that a wonderful friend came by
and helped me with my work too.  Generosity was
flowing for this whole day.  Thank you to everyone who
makes my world go round.  Thank you to my
family and my friends.  On this the celebratory
day of love, I feel beyond blessed by all of
you.  Happy Valentine's Day, and let's keep the
spirit of love going.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Barbara, your paintings always make me smile.
'True love means springtime in any weather' - did you craft those inspired words? And yes I'm with you - here's to keeping the spirit of love, that is so generously celebrated on Valentine's Day, flourishing throughout the year.

Hi Marilyn,

Thank you so much. I did make up that title. It was probably an especially cold
winter when I painted that one, and we needed the lift of spring. Yes I agree
with you too, and I think we do. I think our loving eyes, do all that we can
to share love with the world. Love your work.

XOXOXOXOXO Barbara

Hi Laura,

Thank you so much. I have long loved your work, I probably first saw it when I started
blogging in 2008, almost a decade ago. I miss your paintings when you don't
blog. They are always so beautiful and make me smile. Happy Valentine's Day
to you!

XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
