A ridiculous amount of fun

For the past couple of days I’ve been playing around with making prints using
acrylic ink on watercolour paper. I’ve actually been trying to make specific
images, which is pretty funny.  In fact I don’t have either the equipment, or the
knowledge to make the images I’m thinking of.

What’s been great about that is the absolute lack of control. Get to know an artist
who tries to make images that are somewhat like reality. Control matters. But this
particular method – if you could call it that -- affords almost zero control.

So that’s been fun. Amazingly fun. I start. I make a plan, I put my colours on,
I put the paper on top of the glass for the monoprint, roll it, and wow. When I
take the paper off the glass I have no idea how I got the image I've got. Art!
That’s what I've got.

Have a doing something fun day.

Gorgeous colours! It does look like fun and I could see using this as background for some drawings. ;) Wonderful inspiration! Thank you

Thanks so much Evelyn,

I think these are going to remain abstract. It seems like that’s part of the joy of making them. I
don’t know why.

Thank you for your gorgeous drawings!
