Learning to walk

I hear you have to learn to crawl before you walk, and walk before
you run. I fractured my ankle bone slipping down a dew soaked
hill in my local beautiful park last night, while walking the dog, and I'm once again learning to walk -- on crutches. Yikes. I'm also renewing my commitment to stay positive, like the two people I've painted in the past year with either a broken leg, or broken ankle. I knew they were brave
at the time intellectually, smiling and posing and in pain. But I understand
their bravery on a visceral level now.

Here's a painting I own called In The Kitchen, where I will be in a
minute after I slide downstairs on the seat of my jeans. This does
put a crimp in my summer plans, but I will be painting.

Have a loving-your-walk day.
