A little studio painting

Enough on elections already. Tonight I took a break from
all of it to work on a little studio painting. I had to stop
because it's very late. So I'll do more tomorrow. It was a long
day of teaching my wonderful students today, so I need my
sleep.

Step One -- a loose drawing on an orange ground in
charcoal

hello Barbara, what a joy to discover your blog and your work. Am pondering a pair of canvases with bare sketches as I read and write tonight. The energy and lightness in your work as well as in this blog are refreshing and inspiring.

gentle wishes from the mountains of california,
